As part of NIA, DOE will assess the impact on consumers, such as the cost savings over the lifecycle, as well as the simple payback period (PBP). DOE will use the Government Regulatory Impact Model, with an adaptation for microwavable ovens to determine the industry's net present value (NPV).
Manufacturer impacts will be evaluated as well as the impact on manufacturers will be evaluated.
